BYOB New inbox in every project

Turn a Website Into an App

The gap between a website and an app is functionality, not design. A site tells visitors something; an app remembers them, stores what they do, and shows them something different on return. BYOB closes that gap on your existing project.

Live workspace

Code, chat, and preview in one place.

The workspace is built for repeated product work, not disposable demos. Every generated file stays inspectable, every change is visible, and every follow-up can target the exact part of the app you care about.

01 · EDITOR

Generated code, ready to edit.

Every file BYOB writes stays visible and editable. Follow-ups target the exact lines you care about instead of regenerating from scratch.

Prompt to app

From first prompt to a workspace you can ship.

Start conversationally, approve the shape, let Tool Mode implement, then refine and deploy from the same workspace.

  1. 01 Describe the product Start with the outcome, audience, and any constraints. BYOB turns the idea into a practical build plan.
  2. 02 Shape the UX Review the proposed flows, screens, data needs, and visual direction before code starts moving.
  3. 03 Generate the app Tool Mode writes SvelteKit code, connects integrations, and keeps each change visible in preview.
  4. 04 Test and refine Ask for edits, roll back when needed, run checks, and keep the project editable instead of disposable.
  5. 05 Deploy Ship the finished app, connect domains, and keep iterating from the same workspace.

Agent and backend

Code with your agent, ship with a real backend.

Built for shipping

The parts that usually slow you down are already here.

BYOB handles product planning, implementation, preview, testing, database work, and deployment from one focused interface, with coding-agent access and production analytics when you want to keep working from your own terminal.

This part is hands-on. The cards drift until you touch them. Drag to rearrange, or press and hold one to feel it push back.

Agent integrations

Give Codex, Claude Code, or Antigravity scoped access through BYOB CLI or Agent MCP. Your agent reads context, edits code, tests previews, and deploys from your terminal.

Git history and diffs

Every change lands as a commit. Inspect history, compare diffs, and see exactly what changed since the last deploy.

Inbox in every project

Every project ships with an inbox. Collect messages, leads, and feedback from your app without wiring a third party.

Email sending built in

Send magic links, OTP codes, and transactional mail from your own sender address. Resend-backed, no SMTP setup.

Google and magic-link login

Offer Continue with Google plus passwordless email codes. Sessions and callbacks are handled.

Custom domains and SSL

Point your domain at BYOB with guided DNS checks. Certificates are automatic.

Visual editing

Click any element in the live preview and describe the change. Copy, spacing, color, behavior.

AI testing agent

Run full-site or feature checks and get implementation-level feedback you can apply in one step.

Version rollback

One-click deploy

Builds publish to production hosting in one step. Deploys can auto-save the project state first.

Deployment analytics

Worker traffic, errors, CPU timing, subrequests, and custom-domain status from the workspace.

Supabase aware

Connect Supabase and BYOB reads schemas, drafts migrations, and generates types that match your app.

BYOB converts a website into a web app by adding the missing functionality - user accounts, data storage, interactive screens and dashboards - to the existing project. You keep the design and content, and generate the login and data layers that make the site behave like an application.

What separates a site from an app

A website presents information to everyone the same way. an app changes what it shows based on who is signed in and what they have done before. That difference comes down to three capabilities: identity, stored data and interactive screens. BYOB adds those three to an existing project rather than asking you to start over somewhere new, so the copy, imagery and structure you already invested in keep their value while the site begins to respond to individual users instead of broadcasting the same page to every visitor.

Adding identity

The first upgrade is usually accounts. BYOB can generate sign-up and sign-in routes using Better Auth, with email magic links or Google as the provider. Protected pages check the session before rendering, so a members area, a customer portal or a saved-favourites list becomes possible on a site that previously had only public pages. Roles can separate staff from customers, and because sessions are handled server-side, private content is not merely hidden in the browser where anyone could inspect the response.

Giving the site memory

Once users can sign in, they need something to return to. Connecting built-in data storage lets the project store profiles, submissions, orders or preferences. Existing content stays where it is while new, user-specific data is layered alongside it. A newsletter signup can become a saved profile, a contact form can become a tracked request, and a gallery can become a collection each visitor curates. That persistence is what turns a one-way brochure into something people visit again out of habit.

Keeping your design

You do not have to abandon the visual identity you already have. Bring your content, colours and structure, and BYOB generates the new screens to match. A dashboard inherits the same typography and spacing as the marketing pages, so the app feels like a continuation of the site rather than a bolted-on tool. Maintaining one design system also reduces long-term effort: when you adjust a brand colour or font, the change can flow through both the public pages and the private, signed-in areas.

A gradual path, not a rebuild

Conversion can happen in stages. Add login first, then a saved-items feature, then an admin view. Each step builds on the last in the same project, and the version history means you can pause or reverse a step if priorities change. Nobody has to approve a large, risky rewrite before seeing any value. The site keeps working throughout, visitors see improvements as they ship, and you learn from real usage which capability to invest in next.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to rebuild my website?

No. If it runs as a BYOB project you extend it directly; otherwise the site is brought in and upgraded in place.

What can a converted site do that it could not before?

Store user accounts, keep data between visits, show personalised screens and support admin dashboards.

Can I keep my existing domain?

Yes. Publish the upgraded app on the same domain once you are happy with the conversion.

Is this suitable for a large site?

The workflow scales from a few pages to a full application; start with the highest-value functionality and expand from there.
